• Vases and/or Mason Jars: Let’s be honest, you can find these items at the Dollar Tree!
• Floral Shears or Scissors: You can use anything sharp and perfect for cutting.
• Ribbon or Twine: Use these to tie your bouquet.
• Large Bucket: Each bucket should be sorted by type of flowers making it easier for guests to select their flower of choice.
• Tags: Adding labels and tags will help personalize each bouquet. This can include names or personalized messages to each guest. Bonus tip: To enhance it, you can also label each large bucket according to the type of flowers. For example, for a large bucket that contains lavender, the label can state that it symbolizes serenity and calmness. For lilac, you can mention that it symbolizes youthful innocence.
• Flowers: Of course, you cannot forget the flowers! An assortment of flowers is ideal. Flowers that I have found to create the perfect arrangements:
  • Roses Last longer and provide a crisp, clean look. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy roses!?
  • Lavender & eucalyptus provides texture and volume
  • Lillies & Tulips creates a pop of excitement, elegant shapes, and contrasting colors

Where to Purchase Flowers?

The best places to find bulk flowers at an affordable price are Trader Joe’s, Costco, Sam’s Club, and don’t overlook Kroger. Believe it or not, I have found some of my finest flowers for arrangements at Kroger. However, I haven’t seen prices quite like those at Trader Joe’s.

To keep it budget friendly and getting the best for your buck, I would suggest going to Trader Joe’s first. You should not spend anywhere from $8-$10 per guest.

Bonus tip: Do not be ashamed to have each guest bring one assortment of flowers. This will make the flower arrangement party inexpensive and less work for the host 😉

Grab the supplies you’ve purchased above (buckets, tags, and flowers), and let’s create the flower arrangement station!

1. Place your large buckets on a table or a display stand. If you plan to elevate your friend’s experience, place each bucket on the display stand. Floral display stands are super cute and a convenient way to display your various arrangements.
2. Fill your buckets with water and ice cubes; no one wants dried flowers. Bonus: purchase a spray bottle and occasionally spray your flowers throughout the event.
3. Place flowers in buckets and assort them with each arrangement.
4. Place a tag on each bucket, labeling them by the type of flower and what each flower symbolizes.

Trust me from experience: assorting your flowers will make a quick, easy, and less of a mess process. Tada! Your flower bar is all set and ready to go!

Bonus: I would also consider purchasing a floral runner or garland to add a floral touch to the table.

We cannot forget about the food and drinks! Depending on the time of day for your event, I would consider providing hors d’oeuvres. It makes everything super convenient for you and easy to clean up. You could even ask each guest to bring a food item. Use the food and drink station for flower arrangement inspiration.

To truly impress your guests, use a flower mold to create ice cubes to place in your cocktails or mocktails. You can also add touches of edible flowers like those mentioned above. If you want to keep it really simple, just buy hibiscus tea to keep your guests refreshed!
