When I moved into my first apartment, I purchased all my cleaning supplies in bulk. It saved me soo much money and time spent shopping for them. I was stocked for six months to a year on a lot of these products!

First off, let’s talk, about the general and all-purpose cleaning essentials you’ll need in your apartment. If you are moving into your apartment for the first time, please do not forget to clean your apartment before moving all your items in!

Please do not forget the most important cleaning essential, gloves! They protect your hands from harsh chemicals and prevent the spread of bacteria. Please protect yourself, these rubber gloves are comfortable and reusable, and they keep my hands dry while cleaning.

Speaking of the spread of bacteria and germs, dealing with allergies is so rough for me, especially in the spring! To keep my apartment fresh with clean, breathable air, I make it a point to dust at least once or twice a week. What I appreciate most about my Swiffer duster kit is the extended handle, which allows me to reach difficult spots, especially since I’m short. lol 🙂 It has truly made dusting much easier!

Next up, I want to share a fantastic all-purpose cleaner that I’ve been using and enjoying for years: Mrs. Meyer’s All-Purpose Cleaner. (Lemon Verbena scent, smells SO good) It’s a staple in my cleaning routine! It contains safe ingredients while effectively tackling tough stains with minimal scrubbing, making my cleaning tasks much easier.

I pair an all-purpose cleaner with reusable microfiber towels. I prefer microfiber towels because they can be reused and last through tons of washes.

Disinfecting wipes are optional, but I like to keep them handy; especially when I am low on my favorite all-purpose cleaner or need to wash my reusable microfiber towels.

It’s so important for me to keep my kitchen fresh and grease-free! These Wieman Stainless Steel Wipes are hands down one of my favorite kitchen cleaning essentials that I cannot live without!

If you want to keep your kitchen appliances looking brand new, these Wieman Stainless Steel Wipes will not disappoint! My nieces visit often and leave fingerprints everywhere. These wipes help to easily remove fingerprints, smudges, and grease without streaking. I love these wipes because they require minimal effort and a quick and easy solution to keep my appliances shiny and polished!

I don’t know about you, but I reallllly dislike washing dishes. Between standing and scrubbing, it takes too much time and effort! Thankfully, these Cascade Dishwasher Pods (the lemon scent smells so good!) have truly saved me from spending hours trying to scrub pots and pans. I enjoy loading my dishes into the dishwasher and then taking out squeaky clean dishes. I enjoy convenience. *Fun fact, did you know running the dishwasher saves you 20 gallons of water!?*

Dawn is my best friend! Unfortunately, there are times when we might have to wash a dish or two, and this powerwash spray really gets the job done! What I love most about this dawn powerwash dishspray is it cleans more than dishes. I have used it to clean the sink, kitchen surfaces, and even spot-cleaning my laundry! I no longer have to let my dishes soak overnight because this activates and wipes away within minutes.

I’ve been using Scotch-Brite scrubbing sponges my entire life, shoutout to my mom who introduced me to them. She has also used these sponges her whole life because they’re just that GOOD. They’re perfect for cleaning pots and pans that aren’t dishwasher safe. I’ve even used them to scrub outdoor grills, countertops, and oven racks.

Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

I seriously think, my bathroom cleaning supplies might be my top favorites, not kidding, they’re just that good!

The Clorox Toilet Bowl Wand has simplified and sped up my cleaning routine compared to using a traditional toilet brush! I appreciate that it comes pre-loaded with a cleaning solution sponge, which makes it mess-free. You simply snap the cleaning sponge onto the wand, and when you’re finished, you just click a button to release it into the trash. I’ve recommended it to all my friends and family, and everyone swears by it!

When I’m low on refills for my Clorox Toilet Bowl Wand, I use Lysol Max Strength Toilet Bowl Cleaner instead. The gel formula sticks to the sides of the toilet bowl and removes any stain with ease. It smells SO good and refreshing while leaving my toilet bowl sparkling clean!

I’ve used Windex for years, thanks to my mom. I highly recommend it over other window and mirror cleaners because it’s inexpensive and leaves my surfaces spot-free and spotless. A win is a win!

My best-kept secret when it comes to cleaning my shower. *drum roll please* I’ve found that pairing Vinegar, Dawn Dish Soap, and the Scotch Brite Scrubber, is the perfect combo. You seriously have to try it! This combination makes for an effortless cleaning experience, and I haven’t discovered a cleaning solution or scrubber that works this well for achieving a truly deep clean!

Floor Cleaning Must-Haves

YAY! It’s time to clean the floors. If your apartment has carpet or rugs, you will definitely need a vacuum. I gifted my mom the Bissell Cleanview Cordless a few months back and I am truly considering buying this for myself! I have never seen her floors so clean. She is OBSESSED with it! She mentioned it’s easy to grab and go; it’s lightweight yet powerful!

If you don’t own an O-Cedar Spin Mop Bucket Kit, where have you been!? It’s lightweight and very easy to maneuver throughout each room in my apartment. It tackles hard-to-reach corners and does an incredible job at picking up dirt and debris. I have recommended it to family and friends, and they all will agree that this mop and bucket set is a lifesaver!

If I am not in the mood to bring out the mop and bucket, because let’s be honest, sometimes you want to do a quick and easier clean to the floors, my Swiffer Set is my best friend. It is perfect for those days when you just want to tidy up and might not have time for a deep clean.

Last, but certainly not least, make sure you have a broom and dustpan! Work smarter, not harder, when you sweep. This broom and dustpan set allows you to avoid bending over, and the dustpan even has combs to keep your hands dirt-free. I’ve been using this broom and dustpan since I moved into my apartment almost four years ago, and they still get the job done!
